OUR
COMMUNITY
Football and Cheer are catalysts that teach our children the value of team work, hard work, and the euphoria of victory and the agony of defeat. These battles on the side line and on the field equip our kids with valuable tools to employ against the challenges of life’s future endeavors, when their life experiences will provide the strength to endure.

At Judson we recognized that our children need more then what occurs on the grid iron to prepare them for life, they also need a since of community.   In becoming important members of their community, adding others will help to increase their understanding the economic or physical limitations that challenge the less fortunate, while fostering a greater appreciation for what we have, and empathy for the struggles of others.

Individuals can make a difference.  Our organization intends to make a difference by giving back to the community, for which we are a part of, through a strong volunteer program that supports the less fortunate, while teaching our kids the value and fulfilment that comes from dedicating time and effort towards serving their community.  We endeavor to add our children in becoming civically responsible individuals who, when they reach adulthood, will become problem solvers and volunteers making relevant changes that support all the members of their future communities.
The Church under the Bridge is a center of fellowship and benevolence in support of the homeless people of San Antonio.  The church started in the spring of 1997 by providing the gospel message of hope and salvation to all those in need under the US Highway 281 Bridge near Broadway adjacent from the old Pearl Brewery.  Today the mission of the church continues from a new location and new building located at 724 Chestnut Street San Antonio TX.

Judson Jr Rockets, in July 2012, began its first annual Feed and clothe the homeless drive where coaches, parents, cheerleaders and football players gathered at the Church under the Bridge to cook for, cloth, and feed the homeless of San Antonio.  The Judson Jr Rocket families feed more than 150 people and were blessed beyond expression by the experience.
The Salvation Army is an international movement, started by the evangelical part of the universal Christian Church that accepts donations and volunteers who wish to support their community by providing the needs of the less fortunate.  The Judson Jr Rocket December 2011 Second annual Salvation Army Donation Drive collected more than 100 sets of pajamas for the less fortunate and was conducted in conjunction with the Metrocom Youth Association and the U.S Army All-American Bowl Kids’ Fitness Camp.

JUDSON JR ROCKETS & UNIVERSAL CITY 2012 HAUNTED HOUSE
In partnership with the Universal City Department of Parks and Recreation, the Judson Jr Rocket family ran the 2012 Universal City Haunted House in the park.  Our volunteers built sets and dressed as haunted creatures to give the children of our community a fun and safe night of scary adventure as they wondered through our haunted house.
